Our story begins when my Moldovan wife introduced me to her homeland — a beautiful, lesser-known country in Eastern Europe with a centuries-old winemaking heritage. I was captivated by Moldova’s rolling vineyards, its passion for hospitality, and the extraordinary quality of wines crafted from grapes grown in the country’s rich chernozem soil.

From that discovery, Inknotts was born — a UK-based wine merchant dedicated to introducing wine lovers across Britain to the hidden gems of Eastern Europe.
