Our private tastings at InKnotts Wine, Newark-on-Trent are relaxed, sociable and thoughtfully curated around your group. Hosted by our in‑house wine merchant, each tasting is designed specifically for the people in the room — whether that’s discovering new favourites, exploring a particular country or style, or simply enjoying a brilliant evening of wine, food and conversation together.

No pretence. No pressure. Just genuinely great wine, optional wine education, thoughtful pairings, and a tasting shaped entirely around what you enjoy.

Every private tasting includes a carefully curated selection of wines chosen specifically for your group, alongside paired charcuterie boards designed to complement and elevate each wine.

Private Tasting Pricing

From £30 per person • Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday afternoon 12pm - 5pm
From £35 per person • Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday evening 5pm onwards

From £40 per person • Friday & Saturday afternoon 12pm - 5pm 
From £45 per person • Friday & Saturday evening 5pm onwards

Your tasting includes

• A guided tasting hosted by our in‑house wine expert
• A bespoke, curated selection of wines chosen for your group
 • Thoughtfully paired charcuterie boards
• A relaxed, interactive experience tailored to your tastes and interests

Tastings typically last around 2 hours, giving you plenty of time to explore the wines, ask questions and enjoy the pairings at your own pace.

We’re happy to tailor themes around what your group enjoys — whether that’s Sparkling Wines, Orange Wines, Eastern European discoveries, regional deep‑dives, or food pairings.

If you’d like to explore more premium wines or create something especially bespoke, we can absolutely build that with you too.

Group Sizes & Minimum Spend

Private tastings are based on a minimum group size of 8 guests.

Smaller groups can absolutely be accommodated, with the minimum spend equating to 8 attendees.

Planning something a little different? Whether it’s a corporate event, a special celebration, a themed evening, a deeper dive into a particular region or style, or a completely tailored experience, we’d love to help create something special.

We’re also happy to host tastings at external venues, homes or workplaces where suitable — perfect for birthdays, team events, dinner parties or special occasions. Pricing for off‑site tastings may vary depending on location, group size and setup requirements.
