What Makes This Moldovan Sweet Dessert Wine Special

Crafted from 100% Rhine Riesling grown in the Codru region, Moldova this wine delivers an overripe tropical fruits like pineapple, mango and invigorating notes of lemon peel. Late harvest grapes are hand picked whilst frozen. The grapes are then pressed and the ice water is extracted to leave a highly flavourful and sweet syrup. The juice is then fermented in stainless steel tanks at 14°C for about 42 days.

The wine is sweet with a long lasting taste which is unexpectedly fresh due to the acidity. Notes of honey and tropical fruits, a light flavour of petrol typical of riesling is present. The colour of the ice wine is a rich gold and we also have to mention the nice viscosity caused by the high sugar content.
