What Makes This Moldovan Sweet Red Wine Special

Crafted from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Merlot in the Codru region of Moldova, this wine delivers luscious ripe red fruits, sweet wood and chocolate notes. The wine is made by putting the grapes for 13 – 15 days in fermenters at 26c. Fermentation is stopped early to retain some of the natural residual sugar. The 3 wines are then blended and oak aged in high toast barrels to soften the tannins and add complexity to the wine for a further 6 months.

The wine is sweet with a velvety texture and a harmonious balance of sweetness and depth. Flavours of prunes, plums, raisins and sweet spices on the palate and chocolate on the finish.
