Aroma: Expect ripe fruits like apricot, peach, and orange peel, with subtle hints of honey and spices.

Tasting notes: Velvety, with balanced acidity and a slight astringency. The finish is complex and lingers on the palate. Notes of caramelised orange, peach, apple, and spiced bread, along with a firm, saline grip to the finish.

Vinification: Grapes are pressed then added to clay amphora with skins and seeds. The wine naturally ferments using wild yeast fermentation and the amphora are kept at a constant 16c. The wine is allowed to ferment for 4 - 6 months with skin contact depending on vintage.

Food pairing: Purcari orange wine pairs with seafood, spicy dishes, and foods with creamy or rich sauces. Specifically, it shines with Middle Eastern mezze, mature cheeses, fermented foods, and spiced roasted vegetables. It also works well with rich fish dishes like salmon or monkfish in a tomato-based sauce.
